Kelly Jeffries

Kelly was the kid who loved art class and couldn't get enough creativity! After high school she got a job as a house painter. She then moved to Dallas, TX to attend the Art Institute of Dallas for a Visual Communications Assoc. Degree.
While attending school in Dallas she was lucky enough to land a job with a large paint co. "Custom Residential Painting". Owner Joe Meirs was on the cutting edge of faux finishes and as soon as she saw some of the work she fell in love with it. She found it fun, challenging, and thought it was a great opportunity to work under a large company and learn.
Moving back to her hometown after her daughter Skylar was born, she decided to begin her own faux finishing business in 2000. After learning of new professional products to faux paint with.... she studied at The Faux Finish School, under the instruction of Martin Alan Hirsch. The workshop really opened her mind to the grand possibilities that could be offered in the world of "faux"....along with a huge special finish portfolio.Kelly's business also offers custom murals and painted furniture. Kelly has now been a decorative artist for 17 years. She's never looked back. .....
Most of all she loves the challenges it brings. She loves working through the process of reading the clints mind, taking in their styles and needs, and magically coming up with just the right sample boards............then executing the finish.
"The trust the client puts into me is very fulfilling and humbling; I love this job!"
